‘Satori stretches himself out through languorous, mystical explorations of both the digital and the analogue elements of music, the result a beautifully conspired collection of world music, steeped in electronic and Romani roots, and straddling a multitude of genres from blues and indie electronic to opera, folk and beyond.’

Satori
Nijmegen-based producer and electronic live artist Djordje Petrovic, better known as Satori, is truly one of the most unique musicians to hail from the Netherlands. His explorations of Jazz, Afrobeat, Balkan, Opera and World music, and his ability to incorporate these sounds, styles and genres of music into beautifully evocative bodies of electronic work, have won him rave reviews from critics, armies of fans internationally, and seen him perform at Coachella, EXIT Festival, Fabric, Distortion, Off-Sonar and many more.
Satori’s latest project, the album ‘Dreamin’ Colours’ has been two years in the making, a swirling opus of lost love, longing and the power of connection.
Iconic Music has worked closely with his team to introduce his fifth album to media both at home in the Netherlands and to international music press. Liaising with promoters across his extensive 2022 world tour, coverage has been secured from the USA to the UAE and everywhere in between, and continues to build as we underpin and drive the growth of this incredible artist’s global profile across the rest of 2022 and beyond.
‘An ethereal, swirling body of work, Dreamin’ Colours is rich in texture, colour and imagination.’
‘The album released today is everything we hoped for and more.’
Lady Blackbird
For any artist, finding your authentic voice is key to success. For Lady Blackbird, the alter-ego of LA-based singer Marley Monroe, it took working with super producer Chris Seefried and discarding her original genres of R&B and gospel pop to find the medium that worked for her. Their work together culminated in the sensational debut album ‘Black Acid Soul’, released in 2021.
As the world opened back up and live performance once more began to take centre stage, Iconic Music was asked by BMG to handle the album PR for the Dutch market and coordinate media for her live shows, which finally took place in March of 2022. Critical acclaim for Black Acid Soul came from all corners, with 4- and 5-star album reviews generating excitement from NL press and new fans alike.
Iconic Music’s work continued as we began to translate album release press into a further run of coverage highlighting upcoming live shows. Thanks to our earlier work around the album itself, media were already primed to welcome Lady Blackbird but still she exceeded expectations and got further rave reviews from media for her first live shows in the Netherlands.
‘What a voice, what a personality.’
‘Not just with her extravagant appearance, but mainly with her unmatched voice Lady Blackbird draws your attention: from smoky elegance to raw high notes in more bluesy repertoire.’
‘A constant is her deep alto voice, that has been perfectly amplified by producer Chris Seefried on a mainly ballad tempo arranged, jazzy and organic sound palette.’
Nicky Romero
Nicky Romero is a name synonymous with dance music. From his explosive start in the industry as a young, wide-eyed musical wunderkind, Nicky has always been a force to be reckoned with. From iconic hits ‘Toulouse’ and ‘I Could Be The One’ (ft. Avicii) to his #1 US Dance Radio track ‘Sometimes’ with Dallas K & Xylo, to recent collaborations with fellow EDM titans David Guetta and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky continually dominates dance floors and international charts.
Iconic Music has been the proud PR partner for Nicky in the Netherlands from the moment we first opened our doors in 2019. For Nicky we consult, coordinate media requests and actively look into possibilities for him to create and maintain his position in the Dutch press. Our work encompasses print, TV and online, placing us as the official gatekeeper to all things Nicky Romero in the Netherlands, trusted by both Nicky and media alike to facilitate only the highest of results.
